Here are a few things you can do to try and troubleshoot the WiFi issues at your end:
-
Check Wi-Fi status:
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to access the quick settings menu.
- Ensure the Wi-Fi icon is enabled green. If not, tap on it to enable Wi-Fi.
-
Restart your printer:
- Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Press and hold the power button on the left side and select "Restart."
-
Forget and reconnect to the network:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
- Tap on the connected network and select "Forget."
- Reconnect by selecting the network again and entering the password.
-
Check airplane mode:
- Ensure that Airplane Mode is turned off. If it's on, it will disable all wireless communications, including Wi-Fi.
-
Reset network settings:
- Go to Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth.
- Tap "Reset settings." This will reset all network-related settings but won't erase personal data.
-

- Sometimes, software updates can fix bugs related to connectivity.
- Go to Settings > System > Advanced > System update and check for updates.
-
Restart your router:
- Unplug your router from the power source, wait for 30 seconds, and plug it back in. Wait for all lights to stabilize and then try connecting again.
-
Check router's frequency:
- Skip smart printers supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. Ensure your router is set to a compatible frequency. If unsure, try setting it to 2.4GHz. 2.4GHz. should have a best range and coverage.
-
Check date and time settings:
- Incorrect date and time can cause connectivity issues.
- Go to Settings > System > Date & time and ensure it's set correctly.
If the steps above haven't worked for you, please contact us at support@skip.com.au and provide your venue name along with the serial details on the back of your printer.
