Face ID is now a valid method for logging in to your Skip account, without needing to enter and confirm your account email and password the next time you have been logged out.
This will allow for a faster, more seamless experience while still providing a secure method to ensure your account details remain safe.
In order to enable Face ID for the first time, these are the steps you will need to take:
1. You will not be prompted to enable Face ID while currently logged in. You can log out, close the app and reopen or wait until you are next logged out and need to re-login to access your account
2. Once logged out, follow your normal method of logging in (via email, Google or Apple)
3. When confirmed, a prompt should appear in app asking to enable Face ID for next time
4. Simply select Enable and Skip will attempt to log you in first via Face ID for future. You can always log in via another method if Face ID does not work or you wish to turn off this feature at a later stage.
What do I do if I haven't received this prompt?
- Make sure that you are using an iOS device (iPhone) and are running the latest version of Skip app
- Log out, completely close the app and reopen to go through the normal log in process
- You can also go through your phone settings to toggle enabling Face ID. You can find this in Settings > Apps > Scroll to Skip > Switch to Enable Face ID
If you have any issues accessing Face ID login, please reach out to our team at support@skip.com.au.
